Abstract
Bone marrow transplantation cannot be recommended as a treatment modality for preleukemia until this disease is better defined and until the procedure has become less risky. One might consider this approach in the rare case of a young preleukemic patient with severe neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, in particular if he has a syngeneic twin.
