Abstract
The rabbit ovary has been the subject of extensive studies in reproductive endocrinology and numerous papers deal with the function and regulation of luteal cells and interstitial gland cells. It is however surprising to note that few morphological studies have been devoted to luteal cells (Blanchette 1966) and interstitial gland cells (Davies and Broadus 1968). Moreover there are no systematic and quantitative descriptions at all.
