Zusammenfassung

Erkrankungen an Gelenken durch Amyloid sind selten. Sie entstehen durch Ablagerung des Amyloids in der Synovia, im periartikulären Gewebe, im Perichondrium oder in gelenknahen Bezirken des Knochenmarks (Franklin1975; Ggerber 1934; Wienik1972). Klinisch können diese Amyloidablagerungen zu Symptomen führen, die einer chronischen Polyarthritis ähneln, bei Ablagerung in das gelenknahe Knochenmark können sie Frakturen verursachen (Gardner1961). Durch Einlagerung von Amyloid in das Bindegewebe des Karpaltunnels kommt es zu einer Kompression und Schädigung des Nervus medianus mit den Zeichen des Karpaltunnelsyndroms.
