Abstract
Many complex systems involving concurrency are composed of two parts: a control structure and a data processing structure. This paper is concerned with the problem of specifying the input-output behavior of control structures. In particular, it discusses and compares various possible formalizations of the concept of “behavioral equivalence”. Net theory and net languages play an important role in this study.
