Abstract
Systems with high reliability requirements have a high demand not only concerning the hardware, but also the software. In case of software, diversity is one of the possible constructive solutions. There exist several safety related applications which make use of this technique, one of which will be explained in more detail, especially concerning the kind of diversity, its benefits and its disadvantages.
