Abstract

Different methods for the determination of cadmium in blood have been compared. Our version of a modified Delves procedure gave good agreement with a method where the blood samples are first treated with HNO3. After centrifugation the supernatant was analysed by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry using automatic sample injection. Good results were obtained in interlaboratory comparison programs.
