Aus der Systematik bei der Simulation dynamischer Systeme werden wichtige Gesichtspunkte — die Aufstellung des Simulationsmodells, der Simulationsrechner und die Darstellung der Ergebnisse — herausgegriffen und genauer betrachtet. Daraus werden Folgerungen für die Hardware und die Software eines Simulationsrechners abgeleitet, auch unter Berücksichtigung von Echtzeitanforderungen. Das Rechenzentrum für dynamische Systeme der M.A.N. Werk Nürnberg wird beschrieben und die Betriebserfahrungen werden anhand eines Beispiels erläutert.

Important points in the systematic procedure for the simulation of dynamical systems, which are the formulation of the simulation model, the simulation computer and the representation of the simulation results, are investigated. From these points, the consequences in the hardware and software of a simulation computer are derived, also regarding real time applications. The computer centre for dynamical systems of M.A.N.-Werk Nürnberg is described and the operating experiences are explained with the help of an example.
