Zusammenfassung

Die interlobulären Gänge vereinigen sich zu den intrahepatischen Hauptästen, die ihrerseits den linken und den rechten Ductus hepaticus sowie einen retrokranialen Ast rechts bilden. Aus der Vereinigung dieser drei Äste entsteht der Ductus hepaticus communis (3–4 cm). Der Ductus cysticus mit seinem 3–4 cm langen siphonartigen Verlauf kreuzt den Ductus hepaticus von lateral nach medial und verläuft häufig wenige Zentimeter an der medialen Seite des Ductus hepaticus entlang, bevor er in diesen einmündet. Danach wird dieser externe Gallengang als Ductus choledochus bezeichnet, dessen durchschnittliche Strecke bis zur Papille ca. 7 cm beträgt (Abb. 1).
