Abstract
Major fractures of the complex knee joint that involve the femoral condyles and upper tibia are fixed with the larger implants of the ASIF standard set. Use of the SFS is limited to the smaller components of major fractures, ligamentous avulsions, and chip fractures. Given the very significant rise in the prevalence of knee joint injuries in recent years, it is appropriate to devote a separate chapter to them.
