Abstract
Both the reduction in the mass of bone occuring at an advanced age and that appearing as a consequence of Cushing’s syndrome have to be assigned to one of the various forms of osteoporosis. Considering the marked differences in the pathogenesis of this atrophy of bony tissue, the question has, however, to be asked whether the bones themselves reveal different characteristics.
