Abstract

Esophageal cancer often has troublesome consequences such as stenosis, dysphagia, weight loss, and pain. As a result, patients are often in poor general condition. Although the prognosis remains poor, therapy with immediate effect is needed. For this reason we developed a new combination technique consisting of laser therapy, endoluminal afterloading, and external irradiation.
