Zusammenfassung
Die immer noch begrenzten Erkenntnisse über Ursachen der Anorexia nervosa und die differentielle Indikation von verschiedenen Behandlungsstrategien lassen klinisch orientierte Verlaufsstudien als besonders interessant und wertvoll erscheinen. Im Zusammenhang mit einem bedeutsamen allgemeinen Anstieg der Fachliteratur zur Anorexia nervosa und anderen Eßstörungen läßt auch die Zahl der Publikationen zum Verlauf dieser Erkrankung eine deutliche Zunahme erkennen. Im folgenden soll der Versuch unternommen werden, die zentralen Aussagen aus der Verlaufsforschung zur Anorexia nervosa aus 4 Jahrzehnten zusammenzufassen.
