Zusammenfassung

Gehäuftes Auftreten, schwere oder abnorme Verläufe von Infektionskrankheiten erwecken üblicherweise den Verdacht auf das Vorliegen eines Immundefekts. Die Diagnostik von Abwehrdefekten setzt daher Kenntnisse der normalen Immunantwort auf unterschiedliche mikrobielle Erreger und die Bedeutung verschiedener Effektormechanismen der Immunabwehr voraus (Tabelle 16.1).
