Zusammenfassung

Es wird zunächst ein Überblick über die wesentlichen Konzepte des Information Retrieval gegeben. Anschließend werden die wesentlichen Unterschiede zum Hypertext-Ansatz aufgezeigt. Darauf aufbauend diskutieren wir die Weiterentwicklung von Hypertext-Systemen durch die Berücksichtigung von IR-Konzepten. Insbesondere werden Ansätze zur Integration von Retrievalverfahren in Hypertext-Systeme beschrieben. Abschließend wird auf die Problematik der empirischen Fundierung bei der Konzeption neuartiger Informationssysteme eingegangen.
