Abstract

The anomalous properties of the high-T c superconductors in the normal phase are analyzed in terms of the uniform RVB picture where the spin and charge degrees of freedom are separated. The gauge field is introduced to retain the local gauge invariance which is related to the local constraint. The gauge flux is related to the spin chirality, and its fluctuation gives rise to the T-linear resistivity as well as the temperature dependent Hall constant. The backflow effect induced by the gauge field leads to the composition laws for various physical quantities. The crossover from the RVB state to the usual fermi liquid state is also discussed. The spinon pairing and the holon condensation occur simultaneously at the superconducting transition temperature.
