Zusammenfassung

Während die Grenzziehung zwischen „normaler“ und krankhafter Eifersucht große Schwierigkeiten bereitet, ist der pathologische Charakter des Eifersuchtswahns evident: Der Kranke ist unkorrigierbar von der Untreue seines Partners überzeugt, führt oft lächerlich anmutende Beweise ins Feld und neigt zum Kontrollieren und Bespitzeln. M. Soyka, München, berichtete über eine retrospektive Studie, in der instesondere gezeigt werden konnte, daß Eifersuchtswahn keineswegs fast beweisend für einen Alkoholismus sei, wie früher vermutet wurde. Er tritt außerdem zumindest bei Schizophrenen häufig nicht isoliert, sondern in Kombination mit anderen Wahngedanken und Halluzinationen auf. Unter forensischen Gesichtspunkten ist zudem die Erkenntnis wichtig, daß sich die Agressivitäat eines wahnhaft Eifersüchtigen fast immer gegen den der Untreue verdächtigten Partner und nur in seltenen Fällen gegen den vermeintlichen Rivalen richtet.
