  • Conference paper
Ion Formation from Organic Solids

Part of the book series: Springer Series in Chemical Physics ((CHEMICAL,volume 25))

Abstract

Field desorption (FD) mass spectrometry (MS) is used to investigate almost any major class of organic and inorganic compounds in the mass range m/z 6 to m/z 4000 and above. The focal point is the application to biochemical, medical and environmental problems in which context comprehensive reviews on the analytical capacity of FD-MS have been published [1,2].
