Zusammenfassung
Unter dem Begriff der Kardiomyopathien (CM) werden mehrere pathologisch-anatomisch, klinisch und hämodynamisch unterschiedliche Herzerkrankungen zusammengefaßt (3, 6, 10). Definition und Einteilung sind bis in die jüngste Zeit nicht einheitlich. Es erscheint zweckmäßig, die im folgenden angewendete und heute weithin akzeptierte Klassifizierung der CM anzuwenden. Als CM werden nur solche Erkrankungen des Herzmuskels verstanden, die nicht durch eine Koronarsklerose, eine primär vorhandene Hypertonie des großen oder kleinen Kreislaufs oder ein Herzvitium bedingt sind. (10) Die Einteilung der CM erfolgt in idiopathische (primäre) und sekundäre Formen. Die idiopathischen CM sind ätiologisch ungeklärt, den sesundären liegt eine bekannte Ursache zugrunde.
