Zusammenfassung

Der Keuchhusten bedeutet eine ernste Gefahr vor allem für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder. In den späteren Altersstufen ist er zwar noch recht häufig, langwierig und unangenehm, aber im allgemeinen nicht mehr lebensbedrohlich. Einige Beispiele aus der Mortalitätsund Morbiditätsstatistikmögen die Verhältnisse demonstrieren.
