Kuba – eine prekarisierte Postwachstumsgesellschaft ohne Zukunft?

Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag diskutiert am Beispiel Kubas die Bedeutung von Ökonomie und (Erwerbs-)Arbeit für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung von Gesellschaften. Die Vernachlässigung ökonomischer Fragen und die Konzentration auf eine sozialstaatliche Verteilungspolitik ohne hinreichendes wirtschaftliches Fundament machen die Grundprobleme alternativer Gesellschaftsmodelle zum Kapitalismus deutlich. Die Folgen dieser Fehlentscheidungen sind eine verallgemeinerte Prekarität und ein dramatischer Wertverlust von (Erwerbs-)Arbeit, die zu einem schleichenden Zersetzungsprozess der Gesellschaft führen. Das Beispiel Kubas zeigt, dass prekarisierte Gesellschaften aufgrund ihrer geringen ökonomischen Leistungsfähigkeit kein stabiles Fundament bieten, auf dem sich lebenswerte und nachhaltige Alternativen zum sozial- und naturzerstörerischen expansiven Kapitalismus errichten lassen.
