Zusammenfassung

Im Bremen Ambient Assisted Living Lab (BAALL) werden intelligente Umgebungen und Smart Services für den Heimbereich entworfen, entwickelt und erprobt. Viele dieser Techniken können auch außerhalb des BAALL von Nutzen sein. In diesem Beitrag wird das BAALL vorgestellt, und es werden Beispiele von Techniken, die außerhalb des BAALL Anwendung finden, gezeigt. Grundgedanke hierbei ist die zunehmende Vernetzung von Medizingeräten und persönlichen Assistenten im Smarthome und im Gesundheitsbereich. Diese führt zu einem hohen Datenaufkommen, das Potenzial und Risiken bietet. Nur wenn den Risiken verantwortungsvoll begegnet wird, dann können die sich bietenden Potenziale, wie eine verbesserte Prognostik und Diagnostik, gehoben werden.
