Durch die Erfolge der gezielten Penicillinbehandlung, mehr aber noch durch die sehr großzügige Anwendung von Antibiotica sind die luischen Krankheiten des Zentralnervensystems im Vergleich zu früheren Jahrzehnten sehr selten geworden.
