Zusammenfassung

Vor über 2000 Jahren hat Hippokrates folgende Zeilen geschrieben: „Und ich sah Menschen, die aus unbekannter Ursache irr und wahnsinnig werden und die zu gleicher Zeit viele Dinge tun, die nicht am Platze sind, und ich habe viele Menschen gesehen, die im Schlaf stöhnen und schreien, manche in einem Zustand der Erstarrung, manche aufspringend und weglaufend, beraubt ihres Verstandes bis zum Aufwachen. Menschen, die nach dem Aufwachen, obzwar noch blaß und geschwächt, völlig gesund und geordnet waren wie vorher; und das geschah nicht nur einmal, sondern häufig.“
