Abstract
By M. to the skeleton, we usually mean M. due to carcinomas. M. from sarcomas, including sarcomas of bone, are rare and terminal, and thus of little clinical interest. M. from carcinoma, instead, are of considerable clinical importance, not only because of their frequency, but also because they often constitute a problem in diagnosis (when they are manifested prior to the primary tumor) and often constitute a therapeutic problem.
