Abstract

In some applications, the requirements for real time data in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is very high. Thus the interest for real time research is brought. There are many factors affecting the real time of data in WSNs and routing protocol is one of the most important factors. This article proposed a clustering routing protocol based on real-time constraints (CRPRTC) after studying numerous routing protocols of real-time applications. The protocol is designed by combining the priorities of nodes with different types and routing protocols. Through simulation, data transmission delay of CRPRTC is smaller than LEACH protocol, and CRPRTC also can reduce energy consumption and prolong the network’s life cycle.
