Zusammenfassung

Nicht dysraphische Fehlbildungen der knöchernen Wirbelsäule verursachen Deformitäten, die meistens progredient sind und eine operative Korrektur erfordern. Aufgrund der assoziierten Anomalien anderer Organsysteme ist eine ausführliche präoperative Evaluierung unter stationären Bedingungen obligat. Die Behandlung soll sich nicht nur auf die ossären Problemen fokussieren, sondern Faktoren wie Thoraxwachstum und Lungenfunktion bei der Erarbeitung der Therapiestrategie berücksichtigen. Die Versorgung dieser komplexen Probleme erfolgt interdisziplinär und gehört in die erfahrenen Hände von spezialisierten Zentren mit entsprechender Infrastruktur.
