Abstract
Wireless communication systems are almost ubiquitous and can be found in many application areas today. The advantages of using wireless solutions in all sorts of applications including residential, office, and industrial are considerable and include: major flexibility, reduced installation and maintenance costs, and increased mobility. Due to these advantages as compared to wired networks, a great tendency towards deploying wireless networks can also be observed in industrial automation systems.
