Zusammenfassung
Wir leben in einer Dienstleistungsgesellschaft. Wer zum Beispiel mit Bus und Straßenbahn zur Arbeit fährt, benutzt den sogenannten tertiären Sektor der Volkswirtschaft, den Dienstleistungssektor, der heutzutage einen beträchtlichen Anteil ausmacht. Es mag erstaunen, dass in den 1980er-Jahren ein Begriff auftauchte, der Ökologie und Dienstleistungen miteinander verknüpfte: „Ecosystem services“, also Ökosystemdienstleistungen.
