Zusammenfassung
Initiiert von den Vereinten Nationen hat sich der Global Compact seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2000 weltweit zum größten Corporate-Social-Responsibility-Netzwerk entwickelt. Die am Global Compact teilnehmenden Unternehmen verpflichten sich zu zehn Prinzipien in den Bereichen Menschenrechte, Arbeitsnormen, Umwelt und Antikorruption. Compliance im Global Compact ist eine Managementaufgabe, die jeden Unternehmensbereich betrifft und Korruptionspräventionsstrategien formuliert und implementiert. Gleichzeitig zeigt der Global Compact, dass Risikomanagement und Compliance, je nach Sektor oder Land, in dem ein Unternehmen tätig ist, weitere Themen umfassen, die üblicherweise Corporate Social Responsibility zugeordnet werden. Der Global Compact versteht sich als Lern- und Dialognetzwerk und bietet teilnehmenden Unternehmen Vorschläge und Lösungen an, mit den vielschichtigen ethischen Herausforderungen in einer globalisierten Welt umzugehen. Der folgende Artikel konzentriert auf die Darstellung der Complianceerzeugung beim Global Compact sowie dessen Ansatz von CSR und Compliance.
