Zusammenfassung

Kognitive Einschränkungen sind mit einer Vielzahl von psychiatrischen Störungen assoziiert. Am besten untersucht sind jene im Zusammenhang mit Erkrankungen aus dem schizophrenen Formenkreis. Je nach Krankheitsbild zeigen sich Einschränkungen im Lernen und Gedächtnis, in der Aufmerksamkeit und Konzentration, in der Informationsverarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit sowie in den sogenannten Exekutivfunktionen. Deren Bedeutsamkeit für die soziale und berufliche Rehabilitation von Betroffenen wurde in den vergangenen Jahren durch zahlreiche Studien belegt. Auch in Bezug auf die Alltagsfunktionalität spielen kognitive Defizite eine entscheidende Rolle. Insofern ist die Behandlung von kognitiven Störungen aus den multimodalen Behandlungskonzepten der jeweiligen Krankheitsbilder nicht mehr wegzudenken und bedarf vorab einer umfassenden diagnostischen Abklärung im Rahmen einer neuropsychologischen Untersuchung. In der sogenannten Kognitiven Remediation finden anschließend verschiedene computergestützte Trainingsprogramme zur Verbesserung der kognitiven Leistungsfähigkeit Anwendung, die durch papierbasierte Übungen ergänzt werden können. Um einen Transfer des Gelernten in den Alltag zu gewährleisten, wird das direkte kognitive Training in der Regel durch ein Strategietraining ergänzt.
