Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel behandelt den Zusammenhang zwischen Emotionsregulation (ER) und psychischen Störungen. Die Basis bildet ein Überblick zu klinischen Modellen der ER. Nachfolgend werden die Ergebnisse einer systematischen Literaturrecherche zu spezifischen ER-defiziten im Rahmen psychischer Störungen vorgestellt. Den Abschluss dieses Kapitels bildet die Betrachtung der ER als potenziell verfahrensübergreifender Behandlungsfokus in Psychotherapien.

    Interessanterweise wird die in der Allgemeinen Psychologie dominierende Motivationstheorie basierend auf McClelland (1985) mit den drei Basismotiven „Anschluss“, „Leistung“ und „Macht“ in den klinischen Modellen so gut wie gar nicht diskutiert.

    Die Gegenübertragung wurde anfangs als unbewusste neurotische Reaktion des Analytikers auf die Übertragungsneurose des Patienten und somit als Störfaktor, der „überwunden“ werden müsse, angesehen (Freud 1910). Später wurde die Gegenübertragung als „Schöpfung des Patienten“ betrachtet (Heimann 1950) und damit zu einem wichtigen diagnostischen Hilfsmittel.
