Zusammenfassung
Von den im Abschnitt 2 behandelten mikroökonomischen Ansätzen zur Behandlung von Standortproblemen ist weder die einzelwirtschaftliche, noch die gesamtwirtschaftliche Variante als geeignetes Instrument im Sinne unserer Fragestellung anzusprechen. Immerhin hatte sich jedoch das von Predöhl in die Standorttheorie eingeführte Substitutionsprinzip als wesentliches Teilstück eines derartigen Instrumentes erwiesen. Um es für die Vorbereitung wirtschaftspolitischer Entscheidungen und die Raumordnungspolitik nutzbar zu machen, muß es jedoch mit einem Mechanismus kombiniert werden, mit dem auf aggregativer Basis die Zusammenhänge zwischen den einzelnen Teilen des Wirtschaftskörpers beschrieben werden können. Diese Möglichkeit bietet die Leontiefsche Input-Output-Analyse, die im folgenden behandelt werden soll.
