Abstract

Regardless of size, structure or maturity, to lead and operate an organization successfully requires to establish an appropriate management system. Poorly designed systems and dysfunctional organisational behaviour would lead to both medical and commercial failure. In contrast success can result from implementing and maintaining a management system that is designed to continually improve performance by addressing the needs of all interested parties. Such a management system gives support in increasing product and process quality, increasing customer benefit and reducing non-conformity costs.
