Maple® ist ein von der Firma Maplesoft (auch in Kooperation mit Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen) entwickeltes und vertriebenes Programm. Es handelt sich umein Computeralgebra-System, also ein Programm, dasmathematische Umformungen nach gegebenen Regeln exakt durchführt, d.h. keine Rundungsfehler begeht, wie etwa bei numerischen Approximationsmethoden.
