Abstract

In the first chapter we established the basis for all things to come. With the default concept, the programming language PL/I is just the right thing for a didactically not overloaded introduction of language means: For everything that you do not specify yourself, the language has a standard undertaking, which corresponds to the most frequent usage. In this chapter I will now reveal what I concealed so far.
