Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions are critical phenomena: From an economic perspective, M&A-transactions are increasingly frequent events, which reshape entire industries. From a firm perspective, M&A-transactions often represent the single most important economic decisions in the life of a firm, bearing great opportunities as well as great risks. From an employee perspective, M&A-transactions are a source of uncertainty and change.
