Abstract

TRIZ is abbreviation of Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatelskikh Zadatch in Russian. In English, it translates to ‘Theory of Inventive Problem Solving’. TRIZ was founded by great Soviet engineer, Gerald Altshuller, beginning 1946. For some, TRIZ is a powerful design methodology, others use it as creative imagination booster and few others use it as tool to overcome deadlock situations faced in technical progress.
