Abstract
Virus is isolated following the protocol of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and European standards (OIE, 2008; CE, 92/66), and may be performed in embryonated eggs or in cell cultures. The procedure for virus isolation in embryonated eggs is identical to the one described for avian influenza (AI) in Chapter 7.
