Riassunto

Quando si legge di prolasso del retto, spesso troviamo l’espressione „chirurgia su misura“. Per il prolasso del retto non c’è dubbio: non esiste il cosiddetto gold standard. Per le emorroidi è la emorroidectomia, per la rettocolite ulcerosa il reservoir ileoanale, per la ragade la sfinterotomia interna, per la stenosi anale l’anoplastica ecc. Lo confermano due citazioni: il titolo del nostro ultimo articolo sull’argomento (Pescatori e Zbar, 2009) è: Taylored surgery for (...) external rectal prolapse. Stesso concetto esprime quello degli inglesi Brown e coll. (2004): Strategy for selection of type of operation for rectal prolapse based on clinical criteria.
