Abstract
In het ziekenhuis is bij 20% van de transurethrale katheterisaties het inbrengen van de katheter verantwoordelijk voor bacteriurie/urineweginfecties, door transport van urethrabacteriën naar de blaas. Buiten het ziekenhuis is bij 1% van de katheterisaties het inbrengen van de katheter verantwoordelijk voor bacteriurie/urineweginfecties.
