Abstract
Een 78-jarige man presenteert zich met dyspneu. Dit lijkt mede het gevolg van linkszijdig pleuravocht. Het vocht wordt gedraineerd. Tijdens de drainage wordt ter diagnostiek een CT-thorax gemaakt. De drain is links lateraal zichtbaar; de long lijkt goed ontplooid; rechts is dorsobasaal een pneumonie aanwezig en beiderzijds zijn er verkalkte pleuraplaques. De diagnose nietkleincellig longcarcinoom wordt gesteld via punctie van een subcarinale lymfeklier. De primaire laesie ligt in de rechter hilus. Bij herhaald onderzoek worden geen tumorcellen aangetroffen in het pleuravocht.
