Abstract

In this paper we present two resource allocation algorithms with minimum rate requirements for MIMO–OFDM systems, which have much a lower complexity than the optimal solution. The first method is based on a heuristic sum rate maximization algorithm using so-called eigenvalue updates. It has a very low complexity and performs quite well for high required minimum rates. The second algorithm has a higher complexity than the first one but still less than the optimal solution. It performs very well for low required minimum rates.
