Abstract

We review observations of the radio continuum, the atomic and molecular gas, the optical emission lines, X-ray and infrared emission in the disk, spiral arms, and nucleus of NGC 5194 and in the companion, NGC 5195. The composition, distribution and kinematics of the Interstellar Medium (ISM) are discussed.
