Abstract

Cholescintigraphy is a sensitive non invasive technique which can be used to evaluate a wide spectrum of hepatobiliary diseases. Its use is not limited by bilirubin levels and there are no known contraindications. Of the reagents available Tc99m Diethyl-Ida appears to be the reagent of choice although other Ida-derivatives with similar short liver transit times may also be effective.
