Abstract

Aerosol particles are reaction partners in physical chemical processes in the atmosphere, they are tracers in atmospheric transport phenomena, indicators for air pollution, condensation nuclei with the hydrometeors, scatterer and absorber of any radiation transfer in the atmosphere. With respect to GARP, its influence on the atmospheric heating rates is of special interest.
