Abstract
Since the end of 1967, the clotting factors of the prothrombin complex (factor vii, Christmas factor, prothrombin, and factor x) have been prepared in the Central Laboratory of the Netherlands Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service according to a method described by Deggeller (i). The preparation can be made from ordinary acd-plasma, from which other plasma derivates can also be produced; for the production of the concentrate, the plasma of 16 donors (8 litres plasma) is pooled.
