Abstract
The symposium was held under the auspices of Division 1 of the IAGA and consisted of a morning and afternoon session. The various papers covered geomagnetic field observations, magnetotellurics, resistivity studies and also laboratory analyses of the effect of uniaxial and hydrostatic stress upon magnetization.
