Nonbinary Bimolecular Relaxation in Solutions

Reaction Dynamics in Clusters and Condensed Phases

Part of the book series: The Jerusalem Symposia on Quantum Chemistry and Biochemistry ((JSQC,volume 26))

Abstract

The angular momentum relaxation in dense gases and the hopping quenching in solid solutions are considered in integral and differential versions of binary kinetic theory. Results of the two methods are compared with each other and with the exact solutions when available. The differential theory is shown to have some advantages when the binary results are extrapolated to higher concentrations.
