Summary

Since 1988, when meteorological radar in Veneto Region was started up, doppler processing of data has been used extensively. Two years experience evidenced that such system can be considered an operational task. First of all, analysing wind spead and turbulence measured by radar, some features of wind-field can be inferred. Furthermore, was evidenced the capability of doppler channel to improve precipitation measurement.
