Abstract
This paper presents the results obtained from the latest experiments with PREMAJET. The experiments indicate that low at power consumption, our PREMAJET promises potentially wide applications. With the pump pressure of 35 MPa, it can cut stainless steel 27 mm thick: and with pump pressure of 10 MPa, the derusting rate reaches 18 m2/h and the derusted surface is up to the standard specified in ISO 8501-1 Sa2.5. These results are achieved through the modification of the system by thrusting a water flow into one side of the abrasive tank near the bottom that the abrasive is partially fluidized and, by adjusting the water flow rate through the thrusted by-pass, the abrasive flow rate can be precisely regulated.
